Wedding Walls

Wedding is a district of Berlin, Germany bordering Berlin / Mitte and Prenzlauerberg.

Currently Wedding is becomming an increasingly more popular area for Artists, students and entrepreneurs. Administrated by the French and surrounded by the Berlin Wall on three sides, the area changed drastically after the fall of the Wall.
Wedding became a refuge for underpriveleged communities, including many East Germans displaced from their homes after re-unification and the largest immigration population of any Berlin District.
Most of the nationalities that reside in Wedding have come from Poland, Turkey, The Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Due to the cheap rent and access to both the Ring Line, and the U-Bahn, this once detached district is begin noticed as a great location to both live and work in.

Our aim is to give Wedding a long overdue facelift to fit with it's current status.
We are inviting several International Street Artists to paint seven large vacant walls within Wedding. We hope to attract tourism to this area to help with local business and to encourage the younger generation to forfill their potential.

With help from the City, Emabassies and Media Partners, we hope to help bring a community pride back to Wedding.

Stay tuned for updates on Walls / Artists / Events.
